GLOSSARY OF TERMS
Subject to Standard Terms and Condintions
UM: Unlimited Mileage
CDW: Collision Damage Waiver – a service, that reduces customers financial responsibillity for damage to the Hertz vehicle due to collision
TP: Theft Protection – a service, that reduces customers financial responsibillity for loss of, or damage to the Hertz vehicle due to theft, attemted theft or vandalism.
LSC/ASC: Location Service Charge / Airport Service Charge – premium location surcharge
TAX: Government imposed Tax
Cancellations – Three days notice must be given, otherwise a cancellation fee of €23.50 will be charged.
Traffic Fines – All traffic fines incurred during the rental period are at the rentals responsibility
General Information
1. In the unfortunate event of an accident, the Police must be informed and the accident report obtained. Without this report, the Hirer may be responsible for the repairs.
2. Clients are responsible for any damages caused through negligence such as driving the car whilst under the influence of Alcohol, or leaving personal things in the car while unattended.
3. Clients must hold a valid credit card to be taken as a guarantee in case of any traffic fines or un waived excess. If a credit card is not available, a cash deposit is to be left as a guarantee. The deposit will be returned to the client by post after one week of the termination of hire.
